About me

My Philosophy

I know for many people, it can be quite scary to make a commitment to receive therapy. Hopefully, understanding my approach will help you understand the type of services you would receive at Mindul Counseling.

I believe in using a holistic approach to heal the person as a whole. To achieve happiness, it is important to find a balance between physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs. I believe that counseling is a way to learn more about yourself, gain more awareness of your needs and feelings, and is a pathway for growth and healing.

I hope that through our positive therapeutic relationship, I will be able to guide you in discovering more about yourself and your behavioral patterns. I also hope to provide a safe place that encourages you to establish healthier patterns of behavior and thinking.

As a counselor, I hope to encourage the use of positive problem solving skills, healthy coping skills, and self-expression skills. Together, we can work to meet your goals and needs to achieve your desired outcome.

Overall, my philosophy as a therapist is to treat each person as a unique individual, worthy of unconditional acceptance, regardless of their personal circumstances or struggles. It is my desire to support my clients, but to also, challenge and encourage my clients to find healing emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually.

My Story
My Training

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey. I have my Bachelor's in Psychology and Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Fairleigh Dickinson University. I provide counseling services in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

My clinical experience includes counseling children, adolescents, adults, and families since 2011. I have expertise in the areas of depression, anxiety, grief, self-esteem, bullying issues, ADHD, and family conflict.


I provide individual counseling, group counseling, and family counseling. I also offer expertise in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and have completed trainings in Emotional Freedom Techniques.
